My Bloody Valentine은 Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, The Jesus & Mary Chain 등이 그래왔듯이 팝적인 곡쓰기의 컨텍스트내에서 “소음”이 어떠한 의미를 지니는지를 재정의하였다. 기타리스트 Kevin Shields가 주도했던 My Bloody Valentine은 80년대 중반 몇장의 EP를 발매하였고 1988년에는 한 시대를 정의내릴 수 있는
