1) SONG
Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy”. Fanstastic record, it got in to people’s hearts and minds. It takes you back to the simple truth that nothing beats a great song.

2) LECTURE
Al Gore in Hong Kong. John and I went to see Mr. Gore speak, mainly about Global Warming. It was quite depressing in a way, but it was also uplifting because it made us feel like we could really do something.

3) BOOK
Hilary Mantel’s “Beyond Black.” Wonderful book. Great compassion and hunour – and quite a scary thrill-ish aspect to it.

4) POLITICAL MOMENTS
Democratic success in both the US Houses and the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld.

5) FILM
“The Queen.” This film gave you a slightly different point of view – which is important – about the family that is involved. Touching, warm and wonderful film.

6) WORLD DON’T
Israel Bombing Lebanon

7) SEXIEST FEMALE
Jessica Alba in “Sin City”. I know it came out last here, but she’s still got it.

8) BIGGEST HYPE
“Borat.” It was/is a good film, but it was the most incredibly hyped thing I’ve ever come across.

9) FUNNIEST RE-RUN
“This is Spinal Tap.” It’s still funny, it’s over 20 years since that film was made, and it really is brilliant.

10) MOST CRINGE WORTHY AND EMBARRASSING MOMENT
Kayne West at the MTV Europe Awards.

(BONUS) BIGGEST SURPRISE
James Bond and “Casino Royale.” Finally a really great Bond film after all of these years.
