영국의 4인조 The Blow Monkeys 는 Dr. Robert(본명 Bruce Robert Howard, 1961.5.2일 생) 이 주도하여 Tony Kiley(드럼), Mick Anger(베이스), Neville Henry(색서폰) 이 함께한 그룹이다. 어린 시절을 호주에서 보내며 펑크 밴드를 전전하던 Dr. Robert 는 1981년 영국으로 돌아와 The Blow Monkeys 를 조직하였다. 이들은 이른바 고급스러운 분위기의 관악연주와 뉴로맨틱스적인 감성이 두드러지는 음악스타일인 Sophisti-Pop 계열의 음악을 선보였다.
